Thank You, United Way of Horry County, for a Day of Caring!

New Directions was honored to be a part of the United Way of Horry County’s annual Day of Caring. Volunteers from all over Horry County spent the day completing dozens of projects at our shelters, including interior painting of the dormitory rooms at the Family Shelter, refinishing a deck at the Women’s Shelter, bushhogging and landscaping at the Men’s and Family Shelters, completing repairs at our Snug Harbor Transitional Apartment Facility, and pressure washing the exteriors of all five of our facilities. This was an ambitious undertaking and volunteers came for subsequent “days of caring” to help complete these projects. We are so grateful to all who participated, and most especially to the United Way of Horry County for selecting New Directions as one of the beneficiaries of this special day.
